Reticulated Foam Manufacturer

Reticulated foams are a specialised type of polyurethane foam, developed for applications where cell sizes, density and porosity levels are key factors. We manufacture this innovative foam – including open cell reticulated foam – by blowing the cells open to create materials with a consistent and exact cell size, allowing us to offer an extensive variety of design options. Thanks to their versatility, reticulated foams are the material of choice for many precise applications.

FAQs

Is reticulated foam fire-retardant?

Reticulated foam is fire retardant to meet FMVSS302 and UL94 standards, making it the ideal choice for the automotive industry. It also meets the strict fire safety requirements put in place by rail and aircraft authorities.

Our reticulated polyurethane (PU) foam with its high-tensile strength and precise homogeneous cell size is resistant to temperature and thermal oxidation.

Is reticulated foam UV and light-resistant?

Reticulated foam is UV and light-resistant, as well as being resistant to ageing. It is also oil, chemical and contaminant resistant, and, unlike disposable paper filters, this foam can be washed and re-used for a cost-effective alternative.

What types of reticulated foam do you have?

We have a wide range of foam densities, pore sizes and colours – including black, white, red, blue and yellow. We can also tool and shape to any profile including die-cut, egg-box profiled, sewn forms and ultrasonically-welded cylinders (because reticulated foam is fully weldable).

What things are made out of reticulated foam?

This innovative foam has a wide range of uses, including:

  • Humidifier pads
  • Air conditioner filters
  • Vehicle and bacteria filters
  • Ceramic filters for filtering molten metal
  • Cosmetic applicators
  • Speaker grills
  • Face mask and pads.
