EVA Foam Supplier

EVA foam (also known as Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer foam), is a thermoplastic elastomer material which is incredibly popular due to its versatility and broad range of applications. These properties have made it a suitable substitute on projects requiring commonly used materials such as rubber, polyurethane and PVC foam.

The foam’s closed cell structure provides a number of advantages including fast recovery from compression and long-term resilience, helping it to maintain its shape. In addition, impact absorption, buoyancy and chemical resistance allow this modern material to be used in innovative and creative ways.

An increasingly popular use for EVA foam is in cosplay and the creation of props and costumes. Easily worked with and shaped, it’s is an ideal material for beginners and professionals alike to bring their creative projects to life.

Whether you need EVA foam in blocks, tiles or sheets, we can provide the ideal solution that meets your needs in terms of size, quantity, shape and budget.

FAQs

What are the key properties of EVA Foam?

The popularity of EVA foam is down to the wide range of properties it holds, allowing it to be an alternative to a wide range of materials. The key benefits include:

  • Strength and durability
  • UV resistance
  • Water resistance and buoyancy
  • Chemical resistance
  • Vibration absorption

How easy is EVA foam to work with for cosplay?

In addition to being lightweight and inexpensive, EVA foam is incredibly easy construction material to work with. It can be cut, shaped, sanded, engraved and heat moulded to fit even the most complex props, costume and cosplay projects. For beginners, a heat gun, pain and a craft knife could be all you need!

Due to its durability, EVA foam can withstand stress without cracking, which is ideal in both the production and wearing of costumes. Once the pieces are cut, decoration will be aided by the fact that EVA takes colour well and can be engraved or detailed.

Are EVA Foams eco-friendly?

Yes. EVA foams are non-toxic and BPA free, meaning they are considered to be safer and more eco-friendly than many alternative materials.

How long do EVA foams last?

EVA foam can last in excess of 10 years, dependent on storage and application.

In ideal conditions with no wear and tear, the material could last decades without showing signs of degradation.
